Custom Gimp splashscreen

  OK, I missed the 10th aniversary splash screen contest for the Gimp. I was very dissappointed. I read about it late, I guess, then was busy and by the time I remembered and made one the contest was over. Anyway, below is a copy of what I came up with, and lower down on the page is a png without the "10th anniversary" in which it leaves us al space to put in something personalized.


  If you want to substitute a splashscreen for the Gimp, the path may vary on your machine -- but on my box it is:

/usr/share/gimp/2.0/images/gimp-splash.png

Play with the image below or create your own. Then just drop it there with the same name, and restart the Gimp.
