5ball
This is a logic game, lining up 5 balls of like color to get them off a grid, to keep the grid from filling up. Made for 1024x768 or better screen resolution, but also has an 800x600 setting.

It looks a lot like klines, but with bigger balls. 5ball is actually a modification of gtkBalls (a game similar to klines but with several features giving it loads of potential -- but somewhat lacking in the UI department.) All the other "Lines" games I have tried were too small on a decent screen. This one is big and the chicks think it's sexy. Yeah.

By default trails and mouse highlighting and such are turned off, so it clicks along as fast as can be. Newbies and kids might want to turn on the trails or use the "undo" function. Aficionados will run it set up as it is "out of the box." You might even want to try some variations on the "rules." The rules dialog is below:

And there she is below. Pretty sweet-looking, eh? (But don't be fooled into thinking the Ol Gal is some balloon-candy kiddie game. She'll twist your mind, man!)

You can get the installable package if you use a Slackware-based Distro (Slack, Vector, etc)
This was compiled for Slackware 10 - using GCC-3.3.4 and GTK-2.6.1
(but GTK >= 2.x should do)

5ball-0.41-i486-1ABS.tgz   642k   MD5SUM: b0b8ffc3f9e28cb7d05805eac8de8b69

Or you can compile the source code. You need a running X11, GTK+ >= 2.0 and, of course, a compiler. That's it. Just unpack, cd to the new directory, and run the standard:

./configure
make
make install

5ball-0.41.tar.gz   888k   MD5SUM: 400f169e643c153f5a827f440958aef1
