AbsVolume
is a quick volume changer made for Absolute Slackware
(but can certainly be used elsewhere)
by Paul Sherman
based upon (actually just a stripped-down version of..)
volumecontrol by Rob Eberts
Licence: GPL2

Install:
	./configure
	make
	make install

Build Note:
	if ./configure fails because you
have a different version of automake,
	run ./autogen.sh
	THEN do the usual install

Requirements:
	Gtk (and it's dependencies)
OSS or ALSA with /dev/mixer compatibility (OSS emulation)

USAGE:
Used to make quick volume change. Not permanent. (If you
are using Alsa you will not that it does not "alsactl store"
the volume setting.) You would want a much more robust mixer
to do that (I use "aumix"). That being said, on your next
login/reboot the volume setting would return to the
	pre-AbsVolume setting.

I adapted the volumecontrol program to make use of in the
IceWM toolbar running on Absolute Slackware. I put an icon
called "volume" in my icewm icons folder and put the following
	line in the "toolbar" file:

	prog "Volume Control" "volume" absvolume
