A font viewing/image creation/installer.
Uses wxPython to display system fonts and
allows user to change font size, color,
background color, font face and the diplayed text.
Handy to view fonts and styles quickly, or use to make
"logo" graphics. Also can be used to install/uninstall
fonts on a per-user basis. (Does not touch system fonts.)
To run source script:
(Requires GTK+2-2.6, Python-2.4 and wxPython-2.6.)
Binaries have been built, tested and available below for
Ubuntu-5.1.0 (Breezy Badger)- default build -- and Slackware-10.1, but
with the wx/gtk packages home-built.

NOTES:
wxFontView will only install fonts to the /home/username/.fonts directory. This
is in the standard search path for FontConfig, and save LOADS of possible problems
that could arise by messing with the system font directories.
To display newly installed fonts the app closes and restarts. This can take several seconds on slower
systems and on KDE and Gnome-based distros. (I use Icewm on Slack and it takes about 1 second.
The same machine with the drive swapped for Ubuntu takes nearly 5 seconds. Your mileage will vary.)
